2023 MET GALA GUESTS HONOR KARL LAGERFIELD THROUGH BEAUTY & FASHION

One of the biggest nights in fashion happened last night and this year, many understood the assignment! The Met Gala 2023 theme: Karl Lagerfield: A Line of Beauty, was meant to honor the late fashion icon who passed away in 2019. Lagerfield was known for his distinctive style, characterized by his love of bold, structured designs and monochrome color schemes.

At this year’s event, guests were encouraged to channel Lagerfield’s iconic style in their fashion and beauty choices. Many attendees opted for sleek structured ensembles, with bold shoulders and clean lines. Black, white, reds and blues were the colors of choice, with some guests adding pops of metallic silver or gold for extra glamour.

Check out our top makeup looks of the night. You’ll notice the bold striking, smoky or contrasting neutral shadows, paired with nude or neutral lips repeated through each fit. The 90s nude inspired the face cards this year, the menswear has officially upped the ante and stolen more than a glance.

So, whose makeup inspired YOU the most? We’ll start with our top 5.
